Guangling Liu

Guangling Liu is a professor of economics at Stellenbosch University. His research interests lie in macroeconomics, macro-finance, international finance and monetary economics. He has taught macroeconomics, time series econometrics and mathematical economics at postgraduate level and has published numerous papers in respected macroeconomics and finance journals. He held a research fellow position at the South African Reserve Bank and a senior lecturer position at the University of Johannesburg in the past. He obtained his PhD in economics from the University of Pretoria, prior to which he gained six years’ professional experience in financial markets.
ERSA leverages its network of distinguished economics academics to review and provide feedback on a multitude of topics. The reviewer for a specific working paper will depend on its topic, its methodology and the research programme to which it belongs.
Eleni Yitbarek

Dr. Eleni Yitbarek is a senior lecturer at the University of Pretoria, a junior fellow at the Pan-African Scientific Research Council, and a research fellow of PEP (The Partnership for Economic Policy). She obtained her PhD in Development Economics from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. She has a strong background in quantitative analysis and extensive experience designing and analysing household survey data for poverty and inequality analysis. Her primary research interest lies in poverty and inequality dynamics, socio-economic dimensions of economic shocks, intergenerational mobility, climate change and behavioural economics.
